Recently, there have been reports of incidents involving overheating and fires caused by portable power banks both in Japan and abroad. To ensure a safe and comfortable stay for all our guests, we kindly ask for your cooperation in observing the following guidelines regarding the use of portable power banks in guest rooms.
Charging While Away:
Please be sure to unplug and stop charging your device when leaving your room, such as for meals or outings.
Charging Location:
Please avoid charging the device on flammable surfaces such as beds, futons, or sofas, or in direct sunlight. This can obstruct heat dissipation and may cause overheating or a fire.
Important Safety Precautions:
While charging, please keep your device within sight at all times to help ensure a prompt response in the event of any unexpected issues.
During Room Cleaning:
If, during the cleaning of a guest room for consecutive stays, any of the hazardous situations described above are observed (such as devices being charged while the guest is away or on flammable materials), our staff may take preventive measures, including unplugging the device or moving it to a safe location, in order to reduce the risk of fire.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation in ensuring the safety of all our guests.
